These terms apply to every use of Journey Lanes on this installation, run by Developerlab (“we”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you use it for.

1. The service
Journey Lanes reads the repositories you connect, draws user journeys as flows, runs them against a mock backend or environments you add, and monitors them. What it does is described on the product and how it works pages. We may improve and change features; we announce changes that remove something you use in the release notes beforehand.
2. Accounts
Keep your password to yourself and tell us at privacy@journeylanes.com if you think someone else used your account. Organization owners decide who joins their organization and what they may do, and are responsible for the people they invite.
Journey Lanes is offered to businesses and to private persons (consumers). Some of these terms apply to only one of them, and say so. For consumers, the mandatory consumer protection of the law where they live applies in addition to these terms and wins where they differ; nothing here limits their legal rights, such as the right to a service that works as agreed.
3. What you may test
Journey Lanes sends requests to the systems you point it at: flows, monitors, access audits that try to read and change other tenants’ data, and load tests. You may only point it at systems you own or have written permission to test, and only within that permission. On this installation, access audits and load tests on live environments require you to verify the domain first. You may not use Journey Lanes to attack, overload or gain access to systems of others, to send spam, or to break the law. We may suspend an account that does, or that puts the service or other customers at risk.
4. Plans and payment
- Prices are shown on the pricing page. For businesses they exclude VAT, which is added where it applies; a business in another EU country with a valid VAT number is invoiced without VAT (reverse charge). Consumers pay the price including VAT: the VAT of the EU country they live in, shown at checkout before they pay. Payments are handled by Mollie.
- When buying, a business gives its name and its company registration or VAT number; a consumer gives their name and address. Every payment gets an invoice by email; money paid back gets a credit note.
- A subscription renews automatically every month or year and is charged in advance to the payment method you chose, until you cancel it.
- An upgrade applies at once; you pay the difference for the rest of the current period. A downgrade, or a switch between monthly and yearly, applies at the next renewal. A smaller plan can be chosen only when your projects, people and monitors fit within it; nothing is removed for you.
- You can cancel at any time under Billing and invoices. The plan then runs until the end of the period that was paid for; periods already paid aren’t refunded unless the law requires it (see the right of withdrawal below).
- If a renewal can’t be charged, you have 7 days to pay it in the app. After that the subscription ends and the organization falls back to no plan: everything stays readable, but nothing new runs until a plan is chosen again.
- Monthly limits per plan are counted as described on the pricing page; going over a limit is refused, never charged extra.
- We may change prices for the next period, after telling owners at least 30 days in advance. You can cancel before the new price applies.
Right of withdrawal for consumers
As a consumer you may withdraw from a plan within 14 days of the day you first paid for it, without giving a reason. Because Journey Lanes is a service that starts at once, you’re asked at checkout to agree that it starts before those 14 days are over. If you then withdraw, you get back what you paid minus the part of the period you used, counted in proportion to the days; the plan ends at once and nothing more is charged.
To withdraw, an owner of the organization presses Withdraw under Organization → Billing and invoices, or you send us a clear statement, for example with the form below, at privacy@journeylanes.com. We pay back within 14 days of receiving it, to the payment method you used, and send a credit note. Renewals and plan changes after the first payment don’t start a new 14 days.
Model withdrawal form
To Developerlab, privacy@journeylanes.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: Journey Lanes, plan: …, for the organization: …
Ordered on: …
Name: …
Address: …
Date: …
(Signature, only if this form is sent on paper)
Flows we build for you. Through “Request a flow” you can ask us to build flows. Our quote states the price excluding VAT (for consumers we add the VAT that applies before they accept), what is included and until when it is valid. When an owner or admin of your organization accepts it, that is an order: we build what the quote describes and invoice it separately from any plan, payable within 14 days. You give us the access the work needs (for example test accounts or access to the project), and the flows are yours once delivered.
5. Your data
What you bring in stays yours. We process it only to provide the service, as set out in the data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms. How we handle personal data as a controller is in the privacy policy. You can export runs (CSV, Markdown or JSON) and your account data, and delete projects, organizations and your account, at any time.
6. Availability
We work to keep Journey Lanes available and show its state on the status page, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service unless agreed in writing, for example in an Enterprise agreement. We may interrupt it for maintenance, preferably announced and outside working hours.
7. Intellectual property
Journey Lanes, its software and its content belong to us or our licensors. You get the right to use it for your organization’s own purposes during your subscription. You keep all rights to your repositories, flows and data.
8. Liability
Journey Lanes is a testing tool: it helps find problems, but it can’t guarantee that your systems have none. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts your organization paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused it. We’re not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit or lost data, nor for damage caused by requests Journey Lanes sends to systems at your instruction. These limits don’t apply to damage caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness, or where the law doesn’t allow them.
9. Ending
You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your organization, or by deleting your account: that takes effect 30 days after you ask for it, and until then you can change your mind. We may end or suspend the service for an organization that seriously breaches these terms or doesn’t pay, after warning it where reasonable.
10. Changes and law
We may change these terms. Changes that matter are announced by email to account holders at least 30 days before they apply; if you don’t agree, you can stop before then. Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the district where we have our registered office, unless the law gives you another court.
